Do you think we may have gone Queen mad?
The 11ft high tub has been created to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee anniversary and takes pride of place next to a similarly sized pot in the image of Prince Philip.
Each terracotta tub weighs more than half a tonne and the pair took a team of sculptors more than two months to make.
The 'Royal bouquet' contains more than 100 different varieties of flowers and cost more than £10,000 to put together.
Flowers featured include orchids, roses, ivy, daisies, fuchsias, gerberas, geraniums, perennials, ferns, conifers and moss.
They might find a permanent home in Buckingham Palace where perhaps the Queen's green-fingered son Prince Charles might offer to water them from time to time. Gardeners need a stepladder to give the colourful contents of the Queen’s pot a Royal trim,
The flowerpots were commissioned by TV shopping channel QVC as it launches its gardening season.
QVC’s head gardener Richard Jackson explained: “We wanted to create something spectacular to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, which would also inspire Brits to think creatively about their own gardens.
On a more positive note I am loving this couple called The Civil Wars, and as luck would have it they are coming to the U.K and will be in Southampton in November, tickets already booked.

Losing an hour!
Oh my goodness I'm not sure about losing an hour, liking the extra daylight though, and loving this watch, the face is made from sealing wax, my new favourite thing to use for wrapping presents. Click here to choose your colour way and leave a comment with your colours, I find it very interesting what people choose.
Two things.
Today I had a session at the Osteopath, it hurt lots, I felt sorry for myself so I bought my self some flowers, they don't make my body feel any better but they are nice to look at. I need a job that pays good money, doesn't involve too much physical exertion, but is interesting and arty, suggestions on a postcard please, or even better offers on a postcard please. Secondly I would like to go and eat at this tree house restaurant , Tom they don't have a video so get yourself to New Zealand quick smart! They need you.
To frame or not to frame?
Happy Mothers Day
My mothers day card has inspired me to get on with sorting out my downstairs loo, all to be revealed in a future blog.
Reports back from The Sketch restaurant from Tom my youngest son were very good, well worth a visit if you are in London and like the unusual.
Flu still seems to be lurking in our house, energy is not something we seem to have much of even after three weeks! Annoying, very very annoying.
Progression with new camera is slow, forgive me if some photo's are not quite up to scratch, the hardest thing I find at the moment is looking a bit odd taking pictures of all and sundry in public places, I shall just have to get over it for the sake of some improvement. To get good pictures you really do have to make some very odd positions with your body, crouching on the floor of a coffee shop to get a good picture of a cake doesn't do much for your street cred with your son I've discovered!
One Million Numbered Pebbles
How different is this?
This is how Sketch a restaurant in London is described in a conversation, "I want a room," thought he, " to rest." "Certainly my dear," he was told, "you have a choice of eight." "You lie," said he… on counting he saw only six. "Ah yes, but eight rhymes with cake." "Okay," said he, "what shall I find?" "Well," said the voice, "if you are very hungry and have coins in your pocket, ascend the stairs and you will find a dining hall of such magnificence, it will so take your breath away that your face will be a certain hue.
Nice Weekend
Some people are just very talented.
On one of my birthday presents this week was a handmade birthday tag, thought you might all like to see it. How clever and different is this, I love all the subtle colours and the quirky use of the different papers. Lucy who made it is a very talented young artist who is currently deciding where to study her art next, I'm sure where ever she ends up studying she will be a huge success.
Nice Day
Happy Birthday to me.
How lucky am I , Thank You to Tom and his company London Video Reviews for this very special message.
Arundel, some light up balls, and a nice bit of filming!
Just came back from Arundel in West Sussex, a beautiful sunny day in the end with lots of nice things to see, I've included just a few pictures in this blog for you to look at, I may have been more informative but I don't think my flu has completely gone so pictures will have to do I'm afraid, apart from a quick mention for Pallant an excellent Deli, well worth a visit.
Hankering after a good bakers.
This week I have managed to shake off the flu (mostly), I've been back to work , I've tried to make myself look more back in the land of the living , its been nice to be more back to normal but catching up has been hard, especially without my phone! (Sorry that's the last time I mention the Blackberry) Blogging has taken a bit of a back seat I'm afraid, but whilst I was ill one of the thing's I kept thinking was that I would really love a good local bakery, the nearest one I know of is a lady who has a market stall in Winchester in the high street, or Caracoli in Winchester or Alresford, not exactly local.
Spring is springing in my back garden
Bereaved
t's dead, no a, no nothing, I can see who is calling me,texting me, e-mailing me, but can't get to any of them to pick them up! The nice man at Vodafone said "you can change your contract in 10 days time, until then we can't do anything, have a nice day, goodbye" that was after being cut off twice. Any way how does 'we cant do anything' and 'have a nice day' go together might I ask. S

More about West Dean Gardens
Due to a certain Flu bug I haven't been anywhere or seen anything that exciting, however I was sorting through some of my photographs and came upon more pictures of West Dean Gardens near Chichester, West Sussex. So here they are, as I said in my last post everything is done to a very high standard, so it is well worth a visit.
Something to look forward to.
We have full blown flu, it's not clever and it's not funny! Apart from anything else we were supposed to take my 90 year old Mum to see Anton and Erin of Strictly Come Dancing fame last night. It was her Christmas present, however she did get to go and was still really excited about it all this morning, so I guess she enjoyed herself.
