When we have visited Vermont before, the road up to Mount Mansfield has always been closed, as soon as it starts to snow the gates at the bottom of the mountain are shut. Today however whilst we bask in 70 degrees, the road was open, so up we go!
Stowe Vermont USA
We arrived in the pretty little town of Stowe today, we thought maybe the mountains would have some snow on the tops of them, this is a popular ski area in the winter. Instead of that we have been walking about in 69 degrees! The man on reception did warn us that a weather front is coming in about tuesday, if it hits the warm air it could dump significant amounts of snow on this little town, we wait and see.
Good finds of the day and an 'oh my god' moment.
The sights today.
Bit of a rest day today, so much to see and do that sometimes you just have to sit back and have a bit of a catch up.We are at The Kedron Valley Inn in southern Vermont, which is famous for it's Budweiser Advert.

Goodbye Meredith
Our last day in Meredith New Hampshire USA saw early mist but then turned into a beautiful warm day.The local heron was waiting for a trip on Clara the boat, an Otter was having a swim and its lunch on the Lake, sorry but a photograph of the Otter was tricky to catch, did manage to sneak one of the chipmunk having his breakfast though!
Canterbury Shaker Museum.
Today was once more like a summers day, so we set off for the Canterbury shaker Museum in Canterbury New Hampshire New England USA.The houses and paint colours are amazing, and the whole place exudes calm and tranquility, sadly no shakers live there now and only four shakers exist in Maine.
Part 2 of our boat trip on the lake.
O.K so I have sorted the photograph problem. Our boat trip was amazing yesterday and we were fortunate to have great sunshine and warm temperatures. This is Rusty McClear the owner of The Inns at Mill Fall's, we were very lucky to have hime take some time out of his busy day to show us around the lake in the beautiful boat Clara.

Memory quilt no3
A few weeks ago I blogged about some memory quilts that I had made and I mentioned that I had one more to make. This quilt is for the youngest son of the family who sadly lost his dad to cancer, almost all of the material has come from the fathers clothes.

Daylesford Farmshop and Cafe, Gloucester.
Yesterday I mentioned Daylesford Organics as one of the places we visited on our birthday trip to Gloucester. Daylesford Farmshop and Cafe is near Kingham not far from The Old School B and B, to visit both places is a real treat.
